SPIRITUAL OBJECTIVES
The Bible curriculum introduces students to the Scripture so that they not only understand the Word of God, but also are motivated to obey it. The children will learn stories and verses from the Old and New Testaments. They will be introduced to the Bible through stories, videos, songs, and art. Children will begin to understand God’s love for them and others by:
- beginning to speak to God in prayer and understand He is involved in everyday situations
- recognizing God cares for them and others
- learning the value of love, responsibility, and caring for others
- learning and repeating short Bible verses
- beginning to understand that Jesus was sent from God, that He died for our sins, and rose again
- developing relationships with Christ
