Teachers are planning our school fall festival event scheduled the week of October 25th. Each day of that week a special activity is planned for the students as we celebrate the goodness and greatness of God. There will an apple hunt, a hayride, a visit from a character story reader, a sing-a-long and a scavenger hunt. On Friday evening, October 29th, our students will be invited to participate in the Oak Brook Community Church Trunk or Treat event. Children can come costumed or not to play games and receive candy at the decorated car trunks of our church families. There will be a Christian kids entertainer at the end of the evenings activities. The public is welcome to join us for a this free family fun event starting at 7PM.
Last night the teachers went to school to take a refresher course in first aid and CPR. Each year our staff will complete a minimum of fifteen hours of workshops and classes related to early childhood education. Our next planned secession relates to oral language. We will be honing our listening skills and remembering techniques to build language skills in our students. You’re never to old to learn!
Parents please join us this evening at 7PM for an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and hear about her classroom goals and how she plans to achieve them. Come prepared to ask questions about how your child’s development will be guided here. We look forward to seeing all of you.
