You can meet the nicest people at the  Classic  Car Show!  I met a friend and her family Saturday showing off their beautiful red Corvette.  We  not only looked at all the  “Cool  Cars”,  but had a chance to go to the inflatable  jump house, have our face/arm painted  and play many games!  There was a grill going with a great assortment of chicken, burgers and  hot dogs.  A great time was had by all!!!  If  you didn’t get a chance to go this year, be sure you put it on your MUST DO list for next year!

Visitors from China

Posted by: m.martinson  //  Category: Chapel News

Today, during chapel,  the children learned about the work missionary’s Steve and Karen Negus are doing in China.  They also got a short social studies lesson about the people who live in China.  Karen asked our students  to remember to pray for the children in China every time they eat rice.  Since our lunch today included chicken and rice we were able to test the childrens’ memories.  There were many children who remembered to ask God to bless the children in China today.

A Peek At Spiritual Growth

Posted by: m.martinson  //  Category: Uncategorized

Each Day the All Star Kindergarten Class participates in Circle Prayer time. It is wonderful to hear the prayers of these young children and the outpouring of their love for God and others around them. This week we took time to pray for each other individually and some of the kids extended their prayers for other friends who have moved on into First Grade or to other schools. It is such a privilege to share in this time with your children and be part of their spiritual growth.

Parent Night

What a blessing it was to meet and speak with parents last night at our first school event of the year.  Those that attended the event had opportunity to visit their child’s classroom and hear from their teachers regarding philosophies of teaching and the developmental goals for individual classes.  In small group settings, parents were able to ask questions and get answers about their child’s day at preschool, childcare or kindergarten.  Several parents were meeting each other for the first time and getting a better handle on their children’s new friends.  Teachers were happy to have the opportunity to get to know parents of their new students and begin to build a relationship that will compliment their student’s school experience.  It’s all about parents and teachers working together to guide and direct the development of the children entrusted to us.
